Polyurea

Over the past 30 years, chemical engineers have formulated innovative polymer resins that have a range of modulus (from high to low), better fire retardancy, low VOCs, and faster reaction times. Today’s modern coatings, including polyurethane and polyurea, are among the most advanced resins developed. Polyurea, more than any other polymer coating, stands out in its versatility, strength, and longevity. They are the next step in the coating’s evolution.

Spray Polyurea/Polyurethane protective coatings are commonly used in multiple industries such as Construction, Oil & Gas, Offshore, Mining, Water Treatment, Energy, Marine, and Military, and for the following reasons:

Why Choose Polyurea

Very few coatings can compare to polyurea when it comes to attainable physical properties. Polyurea can be formulated to achieve a tremendous range of properties from high elongation to superior tensile strength to hard or softness, based on the appropriate formulation and correct application of the material.

Our Polyurea products are specifically formulated for extreme conditions and applications on any type of substrate. It is a fast set lining with superior hardness and elongation, high tensile strength, and excellent tear and abrasion resistance.

The products can be sprayed from a minimum of 30 mils up to unlimited thickness for superior impact, flexing, expansion and contraction, and vibration resistance. Our polyuria range of products is available in 2:1 and 1:1 ratio formulations. All our polyurea products are 100% solids by weight and volume, with NO solvents or VOCs.

OAK Linings has a wide range of Polyurea products formulated for different and limitless applications and industries. Our special formulations include

  • Polyurea system that is fire retardant, contains UV stabilizers and leafing aluminum pigment for enhanced UV stability. Mainly used for Roofing and waterproofing
  • Polyurea with Fire retardant formulations and chemical resistant properties
  • Polyurea with High Chemical resistant properties.
  • Polyurea that meets NSF/ANSI 61 potable water standard.
  • Polyurea with superior high-level chemical resistance and protection against impact, abrasion, and corrosion to deliver maximum protection and toughness.
